Bhubaneswar, Dec. 18 -- Panic gripped the medical premises under Soro police station limits in Odisha's Balasore district after a youth was spotted with a pistol at an Aahar Centre located inside a hospital premises on Thursday.

According to sources, a young man had come to the Aahar Centre to have food when security personnel noticed that he was carrying a firearm. Sensing potential danger, the security staff alerted the employees of the Aahar Centre and attempted to seize the weapon from the youth.

However, before he could be apprehended, the youth managed to flee the spot by jumping over the boundary wall of the medical premises. The firearm was subsequently seized from the Aahar Centre.
