Bhubaneswar, May 11 -- Rourkela, the Steel City of Odisha, witnessed severe fuel shortage, with petrol pumps in the Sector 17 area introducing emergency rationing measures due to inadequate fuel supply. The shortage, which has continued for the past five days, has forced operators, especially at the 7/17 chowk, to restrict fuel distribution to manage dwindling stock and keep outlets operational.
Under the revised restrictions, two-wheelers are being supplied petrol worth only Rs 200, while four-wheelers are being limited to Rs 2,000 worth of fuel. A 'No Stock' board has also been displayed at dispensing units, clearly indicating the capped supply limits.
