Bhubaneswar, April 7 -- A large-scale crackdown on alleged cattle smuggling networks is underway across Odisha's Eastern Range, with coordinated police raids across multiple districts, resulting in the seizure of substantial amounts of cash, gold, and vehicles. Several individuals have been detained as the operation continues.

The operation, led by Eastern Range DIG Pinak Mishra, saw police conducting searches at 36 locations across the Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak districts. These locations were identified after receiving multiple complaints about cattle theft and related crimes in the region.
