Over Rs 1,811 crore Puri Jagannath Temple funds kept in fixed deposits: SJTA
Bhubaneswar, Sept. 3 -- Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on Thursday made public details of Puri Srimandir's funds, assets and income, highlighting its efforts to maintain transparency and accountability in financial management.
Transparency Drive Sheds Light On Temple Funds
As of August 31, 2026, a total of Rs 1,811,09,58,283 has been kept in fixed deposits under three temple funds. Of this, Rs 13,11,09,58,283 is deposited with various public sector banks, while Rs 500 crore provided by the Odisha government as corpus funds is maintained in the temple's PL account.
Apart from the fixed deposits, Rs 1,00,70,66,868 is held in various savings, current and flexi bank accounts of the temple.
