Over 20 kg of stale food destroyed in Titilagarh; sweet shop owners fined Rs 8,500
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 26 -- The Food Safety Department conducted raids at several sweet shops in Titilagarh town in Odisha's Bolangir on Wednesday after taking action over alleged violations of food safety regulations.
During the raids, officials also collected samples of paneer, chhena, khua and various sweets from the shops. The samples were sent for quality testing. Moreover, further action against the concerned shopkeepers would be taken after the test reports are received.
The inspection focused on the quality and safety of food items being sold at the sweet shops. Samples of different products were collected by the officials and sent for examination to determine whether they meet the required standards.
