Bhubaneswar, Feb. 17 -- A jaundice outbreak has been reported from Ward No. 10 under theCuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC), with more than 20 people affected so far, prompting civic authorities to intensify monitoring and containment measures.

Officials said five people are currently undergoing treatment at various hospitals. The exact source of the outbreak remains unclear, even as field inspections and sample collection have been stepped up in the affected locality.

Cuttack Mayor, the Municipal Commissioner, and officials of the Water Corporation of Odisha (WATCO) visited the ward to review the situation. Water and blood samples are being collected from residents to determine the cause of the spread.
