Bhubaneswar, Nov. 30 -- Well-known social media influencer Shubhankar Mishra is facing escalating backlash after making controversial remarks about the PuriSrimandir, sparking concerns that his comments may attract legal action. In response to strong opposition from devotees, temple servitors and Jagannath followers, the Puri District Collector on Saturday announced that the matter will undergo a formal investigation. Senior servitors also warned that if Mishra does not immediately visit Puri and issue an apology, they are prepared to lodge a formal complaint against him.

Reports indicate that devotees and locals have questioned the basis of Mishra's claims.
