India, July 23 -- Passengers had a narrow escape after thick smoke suddenly started coming out of an OSRTC bus operating under Mukhyamantri Bus Seva (MBS) near Udura village under Belaguntha police limits in Odisha's Ganjam district on Thursday. The driver acted swiftly and stopped the bus on the roadside, allowing all passengers to get down safely before the situation could turn serious.

The government-run bus was travelling from Adhei village to Belaguntha when smoke was noticed coming out of the vehicle near Udura. As smoke continued to billow from the bus, the driver immediately brought the vehicle to a halt and asked passengers to evacuate. Frightened passengers quickly got off the bus, while locals also gathered at the spot.
