Bhubaneswar, July 6 -- Orissa High Court issued a stern warning against employers who force retired staff into prolonged legal battles to claim their lawful retirement dues. A division bench comprising Chief Justice Harish Tandon and Justice M. S. Raman completely dismissed a writ appeal filed by the Odisha State Cooperative Bank (OSCB).

The bench affirmed that courts are entirely justified in penalising organisations that withhold statutory benefits on flimsy grounds, as reported by The Times Of India.
