Bhubaneswar, Aug. 29 -- Orissa High Court on Saturday sought updates on road damage and waterlogging issues in Cuttack. Senior officials appeared before it and outlined steps being taken to address the problems.

The Special Secretary of the Works Department appeared in person, while the Additional Chief Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development Department joined the proceedings through video conference. The CMC Commissioner also appeared through video conference, while a representative of the Municipal Corporation appeared in person.

The Works Department identified 196 locations in Cuttack for road repairs. The Special Secretary informed the court that the repair work would be taken up soon.
