Bhubaneswar, July 5 -- The Orissa High Court ordered a stay on the operation of the revised seniority list of Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) Group-A (Junior Branch) officers.

According to a report by The New Indian Express, the interim order came while the court was hearing a challenge by direct recruits against their placement below promotee officers in the gradation list.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Harish Tandon and Justice M.S. Raman passed the interim order on July 1 while hearing a batch of writ appeals against a May 5 judgment of a single judge.
