Orissa High Court Judges ride bicycles to court amid fuel crisis
Bhubaneswar, May 18 -- In a unique and symbolic gesture amid the ongoing fuel shortage in Odisha, three judges of the Orissa High Court rode bicycles to the court premises in Cuttack to promote awareness about fuel conservation and responsible energy use on Monday.
Justice Savitri Ratho, Justice V. Narasingh, and Justice Sibo Sankar Mishra cycled from near the Judicial Academy to the High Court, sending a strong message on the importance of conserving petrol and diesel during the state-wide fuel shortage. By opting for bicycles instead of official vehicles, the judges aimed to encourage citizens to minimise unnecessary fuel consumption.
