Bhubaneswar, March 2 -- A youth was killed, and four others sustained serious injuries after a car lost control and crashed into an electric pole near Gidhibas Chhak on National Highway No. 220 under Jashipur police limits.

The accident took place in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district early Monday morning.

The accident occurred at around 05:00 am when five youths were travelling in the car. They were returning to Jashipur after watching Dola Melan in Karanjia. According to reports, the vehicle lost balance and rammed into an electric pole. The impact left the car completely mangled.
