Bhubaneswar, May 20 -- A youth was critically injured after allegedly being attacked by finance company employees near Udala College in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday.

The incident reportedly took place after the victim and his brother demanded a receipt after clearing pending instalment payments for their motorcycle.

The injured youth has been identified as Ranjit Behera from the Nahara area under Khunta police station limits. He was admitted to Udala Medical by his brother following the alleged assault, and his condition is stated to be critical.
