Bhubaneswar, Aug. 25 -- Rain is likely to remain active across Odisha over the coming week, with several districts expected to receive isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall. The weather activity is likely to increase from August 28; yellow and orange warnings have been issued for several parts of the state.

While some western districts may receive heavy rain on August 26, more districts are likely to come under the weather alert from August 28 onwards. Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds of up to 30-40 kmph may also affect some areas.

On August 26, isolated heavy rainfall is expected in Bargarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda and Sundargarh.

There is no warning for August 27.
