India, Oct. 9 -- Odisha Vigilance on Friday launched simultaneous searches at eight locations linked to Prasanna Kumar Patra, Deputy Director of Soil Conservation-cum-Project Director, Watershed, Sundargarh, over allegations of possession of disproportionate assets (DA) beyond his known sources of income.

The searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance teams on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh. The operation is being led by an Additional Superintendent of Police and involves four Deputy Superintendents of Police, 13 Inspectors, five Assistant Sub-Inspectors and other supporting staff.
