Odisha Vigilance catches Keonjhar Labour Officer red-handed accepting Rs 20,000 bribe
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 31 -- Odisha Vigilance on Sunday caught the District Labour Officer of Keonjhar while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from an electrical contractor.
The accused Labour Officer has been identified as Akash Bisoi.
The contractor was reportedly assigned electrical installation work by TPNODL and required a labour licence to engage workers for executing the project. As per the rules of the Labour and ESI Department, Government of Odisha, he applied online for the licence on August 14, 2026.
