Bhubaneswar, Aug. 11 -- The Odisha Transport Department has adopted a strict approach against vehicles operating without valid insurance in the state. As part of the crackdown, vehicles without valid insurance may be seized, and their registration certificates (RCs) could be cancelled.

As per official sources, the department will intensify checks at toll gates using the e-Detection system. The important vehicle documents, including insurance, fitness certificates and Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates, will be verified electronically under the automated system at toll gates.
