Bhubaneswar, Dec. 27 -- In a move aimed at enhancing public convenience, the State Transport Authority has announced that e-challan payments can now be made both online and offline in Odisha.

Keeping in mind the difficulties faced by many citizens, Regional Transport Officers (RTOs) in Odisha have been instructed to accept cash payments as well.

As per the new arrangement, specific officials will be assigned the responsibility of collecting cash payments at Regional Transport Offices (RTO). This initiative is expected to provide relief to people who are unable to complete online payments due to non-updated mobile numbers and, as a result, do not receive OTPs required for digital transactions.
