In a major step towards strengthening the judicial infrastructure, the Odisha government has approved the establishment of 56 new JMFC (Judicial Magistrate First Class) courts across various districts of the state.

The move is aimed at ensuring timely justice delivery and reducing the pendency of cases in rural and remote areas.

As per a communication from the State Law Department to the Accountant General, a total of 840 new posts will be created to support the functioning of these courts.

These positions will include both gazetted and non-gazetted categories, ensuring adequate manpower for smooth judicial operations.
