Bhubaneswar, April 24 -- Odisha continues to reel under an intense heatwave, with soaring temperatures making conditions increasingly unbearable across the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for six districts, Khordha, Keonjhar, Angul, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, and Bolangir, for Friday, cautioning residents against prolonged exposure to extreme heat.

In addition, a yellow warning has been issued for 17 districts due to hot and humid conditions, further compounding discomfort levels. The weather office has also sounded alerts for thunderstorms and rainfall in six districts, indicating a possible shift in weather patterns in the coming days.
