Bhubaneswar, April 24 -- Odishagovernment reconstituted the State Transgender Welfare Board, issuing a fresh notification within two days of cancelling the earlier order, officials said.

According to the revised notification, the earlier directive was withdrawn and replaced with a new composition of the Board. The move comes as part of administrative restructuring aimed at strengthening the functioning of the body.

A key change was made in the leadership, with the SSEPD Minister now appointed as the Chairperson of the Board, replacing the Chief Secretary.

Under the new structure, the Principal Secretary of the SSEPD Department will serve as the Vice-Chairperson, while the Director was designated as the Member Secretary.
