Bhubaneswar, Aug. 10 -- While heavy showers are triggering flood-like situations in parts of northern and western districts, there are several other areas that have recorded deficient rainfall in Odisha.

As per reports, since June 1, three districts have recorded below-normal rainfall, while 13 districts have received more rain than normal.

Rainfall data from June 1 until now shows below-normal rainfall in three districts, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri and Gajapati.

Nabarangpur has recorded 28 per cent below-normal rainfall, while Gajapati has recorded a 30 per cent deficit. Malkangiri has received 20 per cent less rainfall than normal, so far.

On the other hand, 13 districts have recorded above-normal rainfall during the same period.
