Bhubaneswar, March 21 -- Odisha Police have intensified their statewide crackdown on illegal cannabis cultivation, seizing nearly three tonnes of ganja in a series of coordinated operations across multiple districts.

Authorities said that between March 15 and March 20, a total of 2,868 kg of cannabis was seized during raids carried out in Boudh, Gajapati, and Malkangiri districts as part of an ongoing anti-narcotics drive.

In Boudh district, police conducted raids in the Kantamal and Model police station areas, recovering around 1,600 kg of cannabis.

In Gajapati district, raids in Rajpur and Mohanagudi villages under Adava police limits led to the seizure of 725 kg of cannabis.
