Bhubaneswar, Feb. 19 -- In a significant development in the Maoist-affected Gandhamardan region of Bolangir district, Odisha Police have launched a poster campaign urging Maoists to surrender and join the mainstream. The posters, now displayed across several locations in the region, also announce cash rewards for information leading to the arrest of listed cadres.
Titled "Catch Maoists, Get Rewarded", the initiative marks a strategic shift in anti-Maoist operations in the area. Through the campaign, police have appealed to Maoists to renounce violence and reintegrate into society, while also seeking active cooperation from the public.
