Bhubaneswar, Oct. 29 -- Even as government officials across Odisha are observing Vigilance Awareness Week and taking pledges to maintain integrity and transparency in public service, a police officer in Koraput has been allegedly caught red-handed accepting a bribe.
According to Odisha Vigilance, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Narasingha Dora of B. Singhpur Police Station in Koraput district was apprehended on Tuesday along with a private individual, Sunadhara Amanatya, for allegedly demanding and accepting Rs 40,000 in bribe from a complainant.
