Bhubaneswar, May 14 -- Odisha Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra on Wednesday issued a stern warning to officials against poor quality execution of government works. He said that strict action would be taken against the offiicials if irregularities are found.

During a review meeting held at the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation office, the minister expressed dissatisfaction over the functioning of officials. He stressed that no compromise would be tolerated in the quality and quantity of developmental works.

Mahapatra said officers would face stricter punishment than contractors if lapses are detected in execution of projects.
