Bhubaneswar, Feb. 19 -- The state government is considering proposals for the creation of 66 new sub-divisions across Odisha, Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari informed the State Legislative Assembly on Thursday.
In a written reply in the House, the Minister stated that the government has received multiple proposals seeking the formation of new sub-divisions and that these are currently under examination.
Pujari further said that the government will take an appropriate decision after reviewing the administrative feasibility and other relevant factors.
According to the Minister, the highest number of proposals has been received from Bargarh, Ganjam and Koraput districts. The demands are largely based on the need for improved administrative...
