Bhubaneswar, June 30 -- The Odisha government has made Aadhaar linking with bank accounts mandatory for beneficiaries receiving pensions under various social security schemes. The directive has created concerns among beneficiaries as those without Aadhaar linkage to their bank accounts may not receive pension payments in the future.

Odisha Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department has instructed that all concerned beneficiaries under central government pension schemes for the elderly, widows, and persons with disabilities must link their Aadhaar numbers with their bank accounts without delay.
