Bhubaneswar, Aug. 14 -- After being stranded in Kuwait for years, a man from Odisha's Kendrapara's Pattamundai has finally returned home, reuniting with his family after a prolonged struggle over his travel documents.

Prasanna Patra of Tanupur village had gone to Kuwait on a domestic worker visa but could not return after losing his passport and the subsequent expiry of his visa.

Without a passport, Patra was unable to apply for a fresh visa or complete the formalities required to return to India. With the family unable to find a way out of the situation, his son approached BJP National Vice-President and Kendrapara MP Baijayant Panda and sought his help in bringing his father back home.
