Bhubaneswar, May 3 -- In a dramatic turn of events, an attempted kidnapping over financial dispute was successfully foiled by the police in Bhadrak district of Odisha on Sunday. The victim was safely rescued, and three of the accused kidnappers were apprehended, while two others managed to escape.

According to reports, the incident took place near a petrol pump under Bhadrak Town Police Station limits. A group of five kidnappers, who had reportedly arrived from Ganjam district, abducted the victim and were attempting to flee the scene when the police intercepted them.
