Bhubaneswar, Aug. 27 -- Odia Jatra actor Piyush Tripathy fell ill and collapsed on stage while performing in a Jatra at Basupali village under Barkote block of Deogarh district on Wednesday night.

As per reports, Piyush was performing in a play by the Jatra troupe Singhbahini when he suddenly felt unwell and collapsed at around 3.30 am. He was taken to Barkote Hospital for treatment.

After a medical check-up, doctors said his condition was caused by dehydration. He received primary treatment at Barkote Hospital and was later took rest at the Barkote Dak Bungalow.

Piyush was reported to be in a stable condition at the time of filing this report. He is likely to be taken to Deogarh District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for further treatme...
