Bhubaneswar, July 9 -- In a major development, authorities transferred a school headmaster in Kalahandi district following an official inquiry into a viral video that allegedly showed him sexually harassing and hurling casteist abuse at a female staff member.

The administrative action was taken against Shantanu Kumar Meher. He is reportedly the headmaster of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe School in Madanpur Rampur block.

The shift follows an on-site investigation conducted on Tuesday by the In-charge District Welfare Officer (DWO) and a female officer.
