Bhubaneswar, Sept. 8 -- Odishagovernment replaced the 2003 and 2019 Uniform Policies governing Shree Jagannath Temple land with the new 'Shree Jagannath Temple Land Management Rules-2026'. The new rules aim to bring greater transparency and better management to the administration of temple land.

As per reports, the new system will provide online processing of all land-related matters and introduce a structured process for verification, approval and valuation of temple land.

Under the new rules, all land-related processes will be carried out through an online portal. A DLSC will function under the leadership of the District Collector, while the SJMBS committee will undertake field verification.
