Bhubaneswar, June 6 -- Odishagovernment stepped up the process of appointments to boards and corporations. Various departments submitted details of vacant positions and appointments made since the new government assumed office.

According to official information, data was received from 17 departments covering 32 boards and corporations. The exercise comes amid efforts to fill long-pending vacancies, including several chairperson posts that have remained vacant for the past two years.

The state government sought details from departments regarding the number of vacant posts in boards and corporations under their administrative control, as well as the appointments made after the formation of the new government.
