Bhubaneswar, Dec. 22 -- The Odisha government has intensified efforts to refund money to small chit fund depositors who have yet to receive their dues, urging eligible claimants to complete the reimbursement process before the extended deadline of January 31, 2026.

In an official notification issued on Monday, the Finance Department said the refund mechanism remains open for small investors whose claims have been recommended by the Chit Fund Investigation Commission but who have not received repayment so far.

The department has appealed to all eligible depositors to complete the necessary formalities within the stipulated timeframe to ensure the timely disbursal of their pending refunds.
