Bhubaneswar, May 11 -- Amid speculations over a possible cyclonic development over the Bay of Bengal, Odisha Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari on Monday said the state government remains fully prepared to deal with any natural disaster situation.

The Minister stated that Odisha has consistently remained ahead in disaster preparedness and management and continues to maintain round-the-clock readiness based on forecasts issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Reacting to the possible cyclone situation, Pujari said Odisha remains prepared throughout the year to tackle cyclones and other natural calamities.
