Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, on Tuesday, embarked on a visit to the flood-affected areas of Jajpur district, where a breach in the Kani river embankment has left nearly 40 villages submerged.
As of the latest reports, the breach has hit at least 15 panchayats so far, with officials warning that the number could rise to 19 if water levels continue to spread.
