India, Aug. 3 -- Floods continue to trigger multiple health concerns across Odisha, with snakebite cases emerging as a major challenge in the affected districts. Amid the ongoing flood crisis, the Public Health Department on Monday reported that 96 cases of snakebites have been reported, highlighting another growing threat for flood-hit communities.
However, authorities have confirmed that no deaths have been reported, thanks to timely medical intervention and the availability of anti-snake venom.
Joint Director of the Public Health Department, Dr. Basanta Pradhan, said the Health Department has intensified its response to ensure that essential medical services remain accessible in flood-hit areas.
