Odisha flood compensation: Rs 241.37 crore released for affected districts
Bhubaneswar, Oct. 1 -- A high-level review meeting was held at Rajiv Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Thursday to assess the situation in flood-affected districts of Odisha and review compensation measures for people affected by heavy rainfall and floods.
The meeting was chaired by Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, who held discussions with the Collectors of Gajapati, Nabarangpur, Koraput, Malkangiri, Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur districts.
During the meeting, the Revenue Minister directed officials to expedite the payment of compensation to people affected by heavy rainfall and floods.
The minister also informed that Rs 241.37 crore has been provided towards compensation for the affected districts. The funds are being released to support those ...
