Bhubaneswar, Sept. 4 -- Financial assistance under the CM-KISAN scheme will be credited directly to farmers' bank accounts on Friday. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to disburse the funds at a state-level programme at Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar.

According to reports, more than Rs 833 crore will be transferred to beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The fifth instalment of the scheme is expected to benefit more than 41 lakh small and marginal farmers across Odisha. Vulnerable tribal groups and landless farmer families will especially benefit directly under this.
