Bhubaneswar, June 4 -- A case has been registered at Rajnagar Police Station against Pattamundai Excise Sub-Inspector (SI) Chhayakanta Nayak and five others following allegations of assaulting a youth in Kendrapara district.

According to the complaint, the youth alleged that he was forcibly taken into a vehicle and brutally beaten after recording a video during an excise raid in Baradia village. The incident reportedly stemmed from a crackdown on an alleged illegal liquor trade in the area.
