Bhubaneswar, May 27 -- Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi laid the foundation stone for the JSW Utkal steel project worth Rs 65,000 crore at Dhinkia in Jagatsinghpur district on Wednesday, marking a major step toward industrial growth and employment generation in the State.

"Because of this project in Paradip, Odisha is going to become a steel hub. I have laid the foundation stone (for JSW Utkal steel project). Besides, the plan for a cement factory here, with a production capacity of 12 million tonnes, is on the anvil. The company will also set up a captive power plant. There will be a jetty of around 900 megawatt," the CM said.
