Odisha CM Majhi announces Rs 110 crore relief package for flood victims
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 3 -- In a major relief measure for people affected by the recent floods, the Odisha government on Monday announced an initial assistance package of Rs 110 crore. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi directed officials to ensure that relief reaches the affected families without delay as several districts continue to recover from widespread flooding.
According to official reports, CM Majhi said the financial assistance will cover losses caused by the floods, including damage to houses, crop losses and livestock deaths. The announcement comes as thousands of families across the flood-hit districts continue to struggle with damaged homes, submerged farmland and disrupted livelihoods.
