Bhubaneswar, Aug. 29 -- The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) has approved a new rule under which ex-regular candidates will also have to appear for internal examinations. The decision was announced on Saturday, August 29, and will come into effect from 2027.

The marks secured in the internal examination will remain valid for three years. Candidates who do not clear the main examination within this period will have to appear for the internal examination again.

The internal examination will carry 20 marks. Once a candidate appears for the examination, the marks will remain valid for three years.
