Bhubaneswar, June 2 -- Bus travel in Odisha will become marginally costlier after the State government approved a revision in stage carriage fares on Tuesday following a rise in diesel prices.

According to an order issued under provisions of the Commerce and Transport Department, fares for stage carriages, excluding town buses, have been increased with immediate effect. The revision follows an increase in diesel prices from Rs 95.87 per litre on May 15, 2026, to Rs 100.68 per litre on May 31, 2026.
