Bhubaneswar, March 2 -- The political atmosphere has heated up as preparations for the Rajya Sabha elections gather momentum. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday purchased 16 sets of nomination papers, drawing attention in political circles.

Chief Whip of the ruling party, Saroj Pradhan, along with Ashrit Pattnaik, Dushmanta Swain, Raghunath Jagadala, and Pratap Nayak, procured the nomination sets. According to Pradhan, the final nominations will be filed only after the Parliamentary Board takes a formal decision.
