Bhubaneswar, April 25 -- The OdishaLegislative Assembly will convene a one-day special session on April 30 to deliberate on the participation of women in Indian democracy, according to an official notification issued by the Assembly Secretariat.

The special sitting has been called under the provisions of Article 174(1) of the Constitution. All Members of the Legislative Assembly have been requested to remain present during the proceedings, which will focus exclusively on the role and contribution of women in the democratic framework of the country.
