Bhubaneswar, Aug. 8 -- A thatched house was damaged after its walls collapsed amid continuous heavy rainfall in Sonepur district of Odisha. Fortunately, all members of the family managed to escape in time, and no injuries were reported.

The incident took place in Kamira village under Singhiyuba Panchayat in Binika tehsil of Sonepur district.

According to reports, the family had been living in the thatched house for several years. The house was already in a dilapidated condition and had been covered with a tarpaulin for protection. However, incessant rainfall further weakened the structure, eventually causing its walls to collapse.
