Bhubaneswar, Feb. 10 -- An Odia labourer died under suspicious circumstances in Chennai, triggering concern among family members and villagers in Odisha's Ganjam district after it emerged that no post-mortem examination was conducted.

The deceased was identified as S. Santosh Reddy, a native of Bajapalli village under Digapahandi block.

Santosh Reddy's body was brought back to his native village on Monday, following which his last rites were performed at the village cremation ground amid grief and uncertainty over the circumstances of his death.

Santosh Reddy was working as a labourer with a private company in Chennai for the past several years.
